This sort of undertakeing should be a labor of love rather then an
adventure to turn it over to a group that would require a person to join
to access the information... but this is just my opinion... I have
always felt that one should not have to pay a fee to learn history.. and
that what genealogy is... passing down history to our descendants.... I
have an journal of history that was passed to me, written by a cousin
of mine that worte the history of Mt. Savage. She was Mary (Miller)
Bowen/Deffenbaugh... she was the mother of Judge Miller Bowen of
Allegany County... She wrote an excellent Journal of life in Allegany
County Frostburg and Mt Savage area.. if any one is interested in it let
me know....
