To answer your question, yes, several people have done so. the most notable
in my personal library is Albert Feldstein. He published "Gone But Not
Forgotten" over ten years ago. He put out two booklets containing pictures
of tombstones with brief biograaphical sketches. Feldstein's booklets
cover over 500 graves in a number of cemeteries in Allegany County, MD.
Zachariah Johnson, Richard D. Johnson, Ferdinamd Williams, and many others
of personal interest to me are captured within the pages of these two
booklets.
