Betty,

My gr-gr-grandfather, Hineman Hare lived in Morgan Co. WV, across the
Potomac River from Allegany Co., MD and he joined the MD Home Brigade. Lots
of men from Morgan Co. did - they even had an annual reunion.

My father's gr-grandfather lived in Franklin Co. PA and he too joined one of
the companies of the MD Home Brigade.
