Vale Summit lies on Maryland 55, that runs between National
Pike (old Route 40), starting at Clarysville and extending
to the new Maryland Route 36. A Vale Summit road sign
exists on route 55, also known as Vale Summit Road. While it
is not on most maps, the Maryland Delaware Atlas &
Gazetteer, displays it prominently.
