The road is just north of an elementary school that is on the east side of
Rt 36. So if you see the school, you went too far - turn around and go back
to the first road on the west side of Rt 36. You immediately go over a
railroad track. Then you go straight up a hill about 250 feet and over
another railroad track. Then the road curves to the left and past an OLD
Stone House and then curves to the right. The cemetery is on the left.
Now for the catholic information. The OLD STONE HOUSE was used as the 1st
catholic church on the Georges Creek. St. John Newman said mass there in
the 1700's. There is good written information about this somewhere but I
can't remember where.

just before Lonaconing Old Coney Cemetery Road is on the right of Route 36,
and it is marked. It is a country road, goes over a railroad track, then up
a hill and the cemetery is on the left of this road. You can't miss the
cemetery. But I'm not sure there is a sign. Been a long time since I was
there.
