I am in the unusual position of being both American and Australian. I have
lived in both countries and I have to tell you that Australia is better.
While the statments listed below are truely heartfelt and I can appreciate
that, I do think that a number of Americans are labouring under a
misconception that America is the only country in the world.

I want to ask how so many Americans can claim America is the best country in
the world when only 10% of Americans will ever own passports and travel to
another country and therefore be able to make a valid judgement?

What makes you think people are not free in other countries?

I feel more free in Australia than in USA. I value a constitution that
places the right not to be shot over the right to shoot!!

What gives Americans the right to pollute the earth, to generate 25% of the
worlds greenhouse gases yet only have 4% of the population? Who voted for a
president that places the income of his friends in the oil industry above
the lives of Americans in low lying areas such as Florida, which will be
flooded once global warming melts the ice caps sufficiently?

In fact, who voted for a president who cannot string a sentence together and
makes fools of Americans in the world's eyes every time he opens his mouth.
If he is the best you have then the rest must be really stupid!!

What gives Americans the right to demand access to overseas markets yet
impose tarriffs and quotas on other countries' products?

What gives Americans the right to think that their jobs are more important
than those of people in other countries?

Unfortunately I think that most Americans still don't get september 11.

Many people of the world were shocked by that incident...perhaps more for
the audacity and theatrical nature of it.

It is a tragedy that so many people died. It is more of a tragedy that
Americans blast their culture into other countries with the arrogance that
no other country even compares.

I do not just defend Australia but many others. Ask a Frenchman which
culture is more superior and he will answer his own. Ask the world which has
a superior culture and most will agree France. Are the French free?
Absolutely!

I am now living in Pakistan and I have to tell you that Pakistani's think
their country is the best.

Remember when you broadcast you self worth it is only your opinion.
