Good points, I am less than two year from retirement and on SS I will starve
to death with the monthly allotment, but the monthly input from the system
will be put to good use. It is a shame that the young worker I have with me are
not in the least interested in the future SS or IRA. I remember going to the
bank for my father retired on SS and a meager pension from Baltimore County
making his deposits and returning with 5 nickels, seven pennies, three dimes, two
quarters, six one dollars and etc., you see the pattern. Dad at least knew
what he had to do and I might be just as bad. Case and point social security is
not on the minds of our youth and we may be seeing the high point of SSDI and
the decline of a system.
