Edie,
The John Piper you mentioned isn't the same John Piper, Jr. I was talking
about. This John Piper Jr. married Sally Robinette before the other one was
born...guess it could be a son. Both Piper and Sally are buried in the old
Robinette Cemetery off Break Neck Road.

John Piper Jr. also was owner of the store in Flintstone, and also the the
old Flintstone Hotel. It had been a stopping place for the travellers but
Piper really improved on it. It's still standing. So is the store. Both
built in 1809.
