Edith, Very interesting, but just did a search on "Family Search" for Mary Crawfis and notice that there is Mary Crawfis, 59, keeping house for John and Clara Lechliter in the 1880 Census in Frankfort in Mineral County, WV. John Monnett, your Mary Crawfis' husband and the Lichliters were good friend and neighbors. Both Mary Crawfis must have been the same age.

I was reading the 1858 Democatic Alleganian yesterday ...

Another road proposal-- vicinity of Oldtown--May 1 1858
Town Rd near the Rock Ford Church, along creek, Oldtown to
Daniel Crawfis' land, Christopher Waggoners land,
Michael Twigg's land, Samuel Wagoner, Debory Martin,
and John Redaker's land , leaving farm of John Glening mainly to
the right---- this on same website above.

The last I found interesting since Samuel is probably on of
my WV Waggoners and I just discovered a few days
ago that there was a Mary Ann Crawfis born Allegany Co who married
John Monnett abt 1835-36 and I am trying to find who her parents were.

Anyone have anything on the Crawfis family? or the Waggoners?
