Subject: James Reynolds, Marriage to Mary Simpkins 1810 - -

The records show that a James Reynolds married Mary Simpkins in Allegany
County in 1810.
I am searching for my GGG Grandfather James Reynolds a Quaker from Chester
County PA b. 1787 son of Levi and Jane King Reynolds. He was in Cecil county
MD in 1800 living with his step father Thomas Waring after his Mother died.
His oldest children were born in MD. The one definite older child born in MD
is
Matilda b. 1817
and I am guessing there was a Levi born before that date.
My brick wall is finding when and who James married. And confirming if there
was an older child named Levi.
Pretty sure James and family were in OH in 1820 and definitely in OH by 1824
when my GG Grandfather Addison was born. On the 1830 census there was not a
female on census that would be the age of his wife. Think he remarried
shortly after the census was taken.
Others from Allegany were later his neighbors and in fact Matilda married
Thomas BUCY after his wife Elizabeth Chaney Bucy died.
Seems like a lot of common threads lead back to Allegany.
Anyway, any assistance would be appreciated.
I am planning on a trip to Allegany in July and with limited time would like
to rule out or confirm some of the info above.
Thanks
Dee Behrens (Reynolds) OH
