Having been involved with photography for about 25 years now, and meaning no offense to anyone, I wouldn't advise using a hairdryer on the photos. Heat/light is the photographs #1 enemy. And most old photos are on paper that will darken with the temperatures produced by a hairdryer (even on low). I too wouldn't sugjest the freezer. While it is true the glue may become brittle, so may the picture. The WAXED dental floss does work from previous experience.

On a siliar topic ... recently I have been scanning my family photos to get them on to disk so that no matter what, I'll always have a copy. Of course, I couldn't let it go at that. Since many of the photos have become faded, stained, wrinkled or marred, or have imperfections and dirt from the taking/processing. So as a result, I have discovered I have a talent for fixing many of these "problems" through the use of my computer. And seeing how I am currently looking into new career areas in which I can use my talents rather that just "making money" at some old job, does anyone have an idea of how/where I can get into this type of work. I'd be glad to help anyone that would like it, but would also like to provide for my family as well. (I think my wife would like that too!) So if anyone has any sugjestions, or would like to see some examples of what I've done, or would like me to try fixing one of your pictures, please let me know.

Thanks, George
