I don't have any information on the Grahames who settled 4 miles west of
Frostburg.
My first thought when I read this was of Grahamtown, which is a part of
Frostburg albeit southeast of Frostburg. This was Curtin Graham who has the
town named after him.

Four miles west of Frostburg and you're in Garrett County so maybe the
cemetery shows up in the latest edition of the Garrett Co. Graves book.
Hope someone has a copy of it.

Death of an Estimable Lady

Mrs. Margaret R. Grahame died Wednesday afternoon, 5th
inst., at the residence of her son, Dr. Thomas J.
Grahame, of this place. She was born in Loudoun
county, Va., January 20, 1807, and was therefore 76
years, 4 months and 16 days old. Her father, Thomas
Johnson, was a son of Hon. Thomas Johnson, the first
governor of Maryland, an intimate friend and companion
of Gen. Washington. Her mother was a daughter of
James Johnson, a brother of the governor. The late
Thomas Johnson, of this vicinity, was her only
brother. In 1828, Miss Johnson married Mr. James
Grahame. Three children, Richard, Thomas J. and Anne
Campbell, were born to them. The first named resides
near Johnsons, in Garrett county. The second is one
of our most successful physicians and prominent
citizens. The last died in infancy. Mrs. Grahame was
a lady of great refinement and more than ordinary
intelligence. Her vivid memory of old families and
events now historical lent a special charm to her
conversation. She was highly esteemed by a numerious
circles of friends and beloved by her relatives and
connections. Her funeral took place at St. Johns P.
E. Church, this place, yesterday afternoon at one
o'clock, whence the cortege proceeded to the Johnson
farm, four miles west of Frostburg, where her remains
were interred in the family cemetery."

If anyone lives in the Frostburg area and has any
information about the Grahames and/or the family
cemetary, please contact me.

Thank you in advance.
