How 'bout pig souse? Anyone eat that with salt & pepper? Boiled pork in
vinegar and turned to a jell in a cool place usually the spring house in a
big jar???

I've watched Emeril quite a bit, and I've seen the show that you're
talking about. But from what I remember watching my grandmother
make 'fried mush', polenta and fried mush aren't the same thing.
I'll have to ask my Mom (I'll send her an e-mail tonight) about what
all was in with the corn meal, but I've tried the polenta that you are
talking about, and I know from the taste that it's not quite the same
thing.
