To have a name listed on the social security death index, it must be
reported. The person reporting it to the index gives the name the person
drew social security under.
There would be only one listing. ie. the married name, because the person
would only have one social security number.

> Does anyone know if the Social Security Administration place the death
information on all cross-referred names in each account? I.E. Mary Jones
gets married and gets a new card Mary Smith. Then Mary Smith dies. Does
the SSA put two notice of death in the SSDI file. Could I look up Mary
Jones and find her birth and death information. I do know these two numbers
and names are cross referred in their system. Charlie 0
