John,
Do you or your Mother have a family group sheet for her Piper roots? My
great great grandmother was Elizabeth Piper married to Anthony Holzen Sr.
He was a blacksmith from Oldenburg, Germany. According to the 1860 Allegany
Co. Census, she was from Munich. They raised a family of 8 in Cumberland
and I have not been able to locate anything about her.
