Subject: [MDALLEGA] Hazen Cemetery

I am still searching for a cemetery on Hazen Rd and the YANTZ family buried
there.

In the Evening Times, Cumberland MD May 28, 1907 under a column titled
"Will
Honor the Soldier Dead" is a list of cemeteries and the names of soldiers
buried in them.

It lists:

Hazen Cemetery....Dennis Yantz
Peter D. Yantz

Also, when I typed in Hazen Cemeteries, I found excerpts of obits of people
buried in these cemeteries:

Centenary Cemetery in Hazen 1885
Bald Hill Cemetery near Hazen
Elliot Methodist Church at Hazen 1905
Methodist Church of Hazen.

So, I must assume that the family stories of the Yantz family buried in an
old cemetery on Hazen Rd. are true. But why can't I find the cemetery or a
record of the burials,especially
now that I know they are buried there? Has the cemetery disappeared. I
know that it was there ca. 1940s.

Please help!!!!!!! I know this has been discussed before, but perhaps I am
overlooking something.

Alice
