I don't think the man was ran over by a bobsled inside a coal mine. I
previously explained what a coaster was.

I agree with Ruth that it is probably a bobsled. I'm rushed for time, but
will submit an article I wrote about riding a 20-man bobsled in the early
1900s in Pennsylvania. It's a thriller.
