Carolyn, Yes we are the same family. I didn't know who Daniel A. Frantz
married. I am glad to have the names and dates and the fact that Daniel
and Grace had a son Daniel David and daughters Althea and Vivian. I also
have Daniel A. as a son of Charles W. and Annie (Burkett) Frantz. As for
Charles Walter Jr. born in 1883; he was a brother of Daniel A. Frantz born
1892. I did not know Charles Walter Jr. married Nellie Brotemarkle born
1891. I wonder if this is the Nellie who was a daughter of Harrison
Brotemarkle and Mary Catherine (Hickle/Hinkle) Brotemarkle. Harrison was
the son of H.S. Brotemarkle and Emma Willametta Frantz. Emma born 1846 was
a sister to Charles Walter Sr., Joseph, Daniel (Tuck), John N., Roseanne
Isabelle and my ancestor William Filmore Frantz Jr. Roseanne married
Lycurgus Franklin Gurley. You probably know that your Daniel A. had 16
brothers and sisters. I do have their names but few of the spouses. I also
have most of the cousins names and dates if you want them. Just in
case you don't have William F. Frantz Srs. parents, they were Joseph and
Elizabeth (Herring) Frantz. Elizabeth was his second wife and I think Mary
Wertz was the first. I do believe all of the children are Elizabeth's.
William Srs.siblings were John 1807-1879, Thomas 1815, George D. 1816,
Rachael married a Slicer and Elizabeth married Samuel Jacobson. William F.
Sr. was born 1809 in Selbysport MD. and died 4 march 1894. Their father
Joseph came to Garrett Co. (then Allegany Co.) from Bedford Co. PA in 1798
with two brothers, John and Jonathan. Most of John's children moved to
Ohio, but many of Joseph's and Jonathan's stayed in MD.
