I visit the courthouse quite a bit, here in Cumberland, and I could not find
the land records you're looking for with the info you've provided.
The land records are indexed at the courthouse and the people who work there
will look up the person you're looking for if you write to them, give me the
names involved and approximant time. They charge 50ยข a page when they copy
it.

I suggest you first ask for copies of the index of the family in question.
Then you'll see what they have.
