I am looking for the parents of my GGGrandmother Mary Norris. I know she was married to Isaac Boden and they had three sons: Charles William Boden b. 1843 and marrried Mary Isabelle Mann; John Henry Boden b. 1847 and married Mary E. Smith; Joseph E. Boden b. 1854 and married Martha Smith (sister of Mary E. Smith). All three served in the Civil War. I am desended from Charles and Mary Boden through their son Joseph Denton and his wife Julia Agnes ( Hartley) Boden. Their son Joseph Edward Boden (1893-1978) was my father. Back to Mary Norris, she must have been born about 1820. I have found a Mary Ann Norris born 30 June 1821 to a William Norris and wife Sarah Carroll. This William Norris was the son of John and Christina (Potts) Norris. If anyone knows more about these families I would like to hear from you. Some of this info comes from F. Marie Waltman's book "Nine Pioneer Families from the Sideling Hill Area In Western Maryland." The ancestors I mention lived east of Cumberland in Little Orleans, Flintstone, Piney Plains etc.
