Mary Ellen,

The record I was looking for was for Baltimore, I was checking at the
Historical Society in Baltimore, and this was the info I was given when I
tried to find the actual records. My g-grandfather applied for citizenship
in 1848 and became a citizen in
1853. But there was no date given when the fire occurred. Sorry I can't
provide any further info.
