Scott,

I got in on part of your email about coming to Allegany Co.

I live in Garrett County. If you like parades, we have an annual Autumn
Glory celebration in this county (Oakland, Md.)..just 50 mi. from
Cumberland. The parade begins at 1 p.m. on Saturday, October 13th, 35,000
or more people have been known to come up to see the parade, enjoy the
festivities(including crafts, turkey dinners at many locations, antique
show, etc. ) Gov. Martin O'Malley will be in the parade, there are many
floats, units from the Ali Ghan Shrine in Cumberland usually particpate,
local and area high school bands , etc. The leaves on the trees have all
changed colors (Autumn Glory).
We Garrett Countians welcome you to our festivities!!
