Yep, Al has it in the last book of his that I got. Title is ALLEGANY COUNTY
and the picture and article are on page 34.
"The Allegany County Hospital for the Insane (The Alms House) on Little
Valley Road was enlarged as the county home and later became known as Sylvan
Retreat. It was razed in about 1978. The back of this 1910 postcard reads,
"I received your letter and cards and am glad to hear from home. Please
write every week and I will send you a card when I get ready to leave. "
I noticed that the pharmacy I go to when needed, has Al's book for sale. So
you can probably get it from the book store.
