Subject: [MDALLEGA] Great American Teach-In and genealogy

Dear List -

My daughter's school is participating in the Great American Teach-In on November 14 and I had thought about volunteering to speak about genealogy to her fourth grade class.

I am not a teacher, teaching is just not my thing, but I really believe that genealogy can get kids interested in History, especially as it relates to their own family.

Has anyone ever done this before? Does anyone know of any materials or lesson plans that I could use? Any help would be appreciated.
