Sadly, there are no GREENWADE listed. Now the reference book I have is only for prior to 1880 so they might have applied after that date. Subscribe to the Washington County list and put out your query. That is not a very common surname so it might trigger a memory for someone on the list.
I also tried GRANWADE/GRENWADE, various spelling nothing there.

I don't have the Allegany list but I do have the Washington County prior to 1880 from the book by Marsha Lynne Fuller. I bought it because our Allegany County ancestors started out in Washington County with the C&O Canal. If your ancestor fits this time line, give me his name, I can take a look. Who know, you might get lucky!!!
