Looking for leads to my ancestor: John Davis. Allegedly from
Tredeger Wales through the port of New Orleans.
His son, Thomas Davis b.@ 1799 to 1802 Hereford shire Eng. , was my
G. G. Grandfather. Thomas was a farmer near Flintstone Md. It is
probable that Thomas came here with John. I have been unable to tie
the two together. I am solid back to Thomas but his wife Sarah E. and
his father John I know nothing of.

First (US) records I found find him (Thomas) in the 1850 Census
living in Allegheny Co. MD. Married to a Sarah E. Davis b. @1812 in
Delaware. They had 10 children: Thomas H., Mary E., John
M.,William A., Hannah Davis Hinkley, James, Benjamin, Joseph, Sanford
B., & George H. I Would also be interested in contacting any of their
descendants.

John M. was my ancestor (G. Grandfather) Born Flintstone Md.
