Jonathan SAPPINGTON vs Mary ADAMS (widow), et al

Nathaniel SAPPINGTON, died testate, leaving
widow - Mary (she has now remarried to Aaron ADAMS)
ch/ Harriott (now married to a WHEET) (age 26 on 4 Jun 1810)
Jonathan (age 24 on 4 Jun 1810)
Edmond (age 22 on 4 Jun 1810)
Lydia (age 19 on 4 Jun 1810)
Sarah (age 17 on 4 Jun 1810)
Richard (age 14 on 4 Jun 1810)
Nathaniel (age 13 on 4 Jun 1810) (twin)
John (age 13 on 4 Jun 1810) (twin)
Sophia (age 9 on 4 Jun 1810) (she was born after her father died)

Ages were written down by the mother in court records. All the children were
named in the father's will except Sophia who was not yet born. His will also
listed his nephew Richard GAMBRILL as executor with the widow. Will was
written 8 March 1801 and recorded on 13 April 1801. Trustee to sell the real
estate which consisted of tract Griniston, 108+ acres, was Anderson WARFIELD. On
18 Aug 1808, sale was held with high bidder being Richard CHENEY at
$11.75/acre, totaling $1,274.87; his surities were James H. MARRIOTT and Joseph CHENEY
of Samuel.

There is mention of a will of Richard SAPPINGTON, father of Nathaniel,
concerning the same tract. Also mentioned is part interest in same tract for
$138.67 cm to Philip HAMMOND from Nathaniel Sappington dated 20 Oct 1800.
