I can tell you in my direct and indirect lines this
happens all the time. In some families it happened so
often that it's massively confusing when wife's
surname is same as husband's and then their kid goes
and marries a first cousin too!

I have a set of 4x great-grandparents who were first
cousins -- so that gives me two 5x gr-grandfathers who
were brothers.
