Although not relevant to the basic question (as the only issue for 1821 is
that a person born in Baltimore Co., could have been born in what is now
Carroll Co. (Carroll Co formed in 1837 from Baltimore and Frederick Co).
But way back in the 1600s part of Anne Arundel Co., was then considered to
be Baltimore Co., that is the Patapsco River was NOT the dividing line,
rather it was the line along the ridge that divided the drainage into the
Patapsco and Magothey Rivers was considered the dividing line. The present
boundary of the Patapsco River was not settled upon until 1725.
