Using your place of residence at the time of Julia G Sheckels death, I can tell you who I believe her family to be. First, in 1831 John Sheckels moved to Baltimore (maybe from Prince George County) a grocer, feed dealer, cooper, business address Conway St., home S. Pace St. He married Rebeccca
Reeder May 2,1837. Their children were Chas R. b.1838, Geo. W. b.1842, Merrick b.1843, Eliz A. b.1845, & Wm. H. died 1849. John & Rebecca last found in directory 1865.
Son Chas R. lived at 1227 Battery in 1889. He had sons
Chas D. and William mentioned living with him. Julia G. may
also have been his daughter.
In 1901 to 1908 Chas D. is mentioned living at 210 E. Fort Ave, as are Elizabeth A. & Mary E. I'm sure this is family.
How exactly they are related is unclear. Due to Julia's date
of birth, I would guess that she is Charles R.'s daughter.
Further, if I am correct, your family and mine are related since both families first appeared in Baltimore about the same time.
Again, if they are then they both came from Prince George Co., MD.
