My wonderful cousin found and just sent me the passenger list on which my gg grandfather arrived from Germany. But I do not know what these abbrevations mean as I don't know what program or book she used. Can anyone help me out?

ZIEGLER Carl 42 M Mcht (I know this)
What I don't know-
prv (PROVINCE) PR
vil (VILLAGE) AAKH
des (DESTANATION) USA (got this one)

I need to know what the province and villiage abbrevations stand for any help would be wonderful!!!!!!
