I am looking for information on ROBERT NELSON. An obituary I have from Montgomery County, IL, says he was born "in a town near Baltimore, MD, February 10th, 1846." I don't have any other information on him from Maryland. I do know he married Camelia Wright in Montgomery County, IL.

Does anyone have information on him or know where in Maryland records I might research? I found a ROBERT NELSON in the 1850 census, who might have been around his age. But I am not sure what his parents names were and don't want to assume. I do NOT have a birth or death certificate, as Maryland did not require them statewide until 1896. Montgomery County, IL does not have his death certificate. So all I have is the obit.

Any help is GREATLY appreciated. Thanks in advance.
