Our trip in early June to Baltimore following a McLearen reunion of sorts (new cousins!!) in Fauquier Co, VA was successful altho too short. Enoch Pratt Library was a joy; we have narrowed our James Mason to the one living w/George W and Ella Mason Christopher and Martha Mason Winkleman and her daughter, Hannah, as we found our grandparents also living with them from 1915 to 1919. Drove right to an old row house on Montpelier they had lived in during that time. Rode the light rail to Penn Station, used the light rail, met a new relative in Baltimore, too. If anyone has further information on George and Ella Christopher - by 1930, Ella is living w/son Norman James/James Norman and his wife Elizabeth Baier Christopher, or Winkleman's, or the family of Norman Phelps and Lillian McLearen Mason, please be in touch.
