Hi Linda - Glad I could help, I've rec'd plenty along the way from other folks. The short answer to your question on Richard P(oole) Breeden's parents is "I'm not sure." In December 1797, Ann Parran deeded 204 acres on the east side of St Leonard's Creek to Joseph Breeden. This land was part of "Hall's' Resurvey" and part of "Bromogan." The sale price was 409 Pounds Sterling. In October 1802, William Clare sold 4 acres in the same area to Joseph Breeden. I understand this included the "Hill Farm" or the "House on the HIll" which is also called "Morgan's Fresh". It was built in the late 1600's and is still there. Anyway, at this time, land records suggest there were four Breedens: Joseph, Thomas, Mark, and Susanna. On 19Feb1809, Thomas Breeden "of Tennessee", John and Elizabeth Gardner, Mark Breeden, Susanna Breeden, and Joseph Breeden "of Calvert County" sold the 208 acres acquired in 1797/1802 to Abraham Parker. These Breedens appear to be widow/children/siblings of t!
he purchaser who was then deceased. Richard P. Breeden is the son of one of them but I can't say which. Bob.
