According to the 1930 census Frank Simon was born in Austria and immigrated
to the US in 1905 (he was listed as an alien so he had not been naturalized
by that time), he was living with his son Frank and daughter-in-law, Loula,
on that census in the 1st District of Caroline Co., MD (near Henderson). His
wife, Rose, was not living with them, but Frank is listed as being married.

Your Schmitt family is listed as being born in Alsace-Loraine which is
actually in France not Germany, but is an ethnically German area in which
German was primary language. According to the 1920 census Frank Schmitt
immigrated in 1902 and were naturalized by that year. You should order there
Naturalization records from the National Archives as well as the death
certificates of the individuals involved.

If you want to hire me I charge $35 an hour for research in Caroline County,
more depending on how far I travel.
