What was the attraction in Caroline County in the early 19th century that newlyweds from Cecil County would be enumerated there on the 1800 census but in 1810 be back in Cecil County? Two siblings, Rebecca Ward (married William Davis 1799) and Philip Ward (married Margaret Brown 1800) both raised in Cecil Co. are listed on 1800 census in Caroline County. By 1810 they were back in Cecil County. I'm asking why would they both go there initially but not stay? Ideas anyone?
