I am doing research on my great grandfather: Christopher Columbus Corkran b: 4/19/1825 d: 1/27/1896 married Eliza Ann Andrew b: 5/2/1846 d: 4/11/1923. He was a sailor/captain(don't know of what.)..been trying real hard to find out. Been to the State Archives in Annapolis and now have the National Archives in Washington doing some research. Their children were Marion Wilmer, Ella S., Octive Woodville, Albert Thomas, Leona A., Raymond Frank and Grover Cleveland. I have traced some of christophers brothers and believe some are John Burton, John Calvert, James B, not sure about sisters ann or rachel or any other siblings. I have John Burtons birth certificate and some others. Here are the names of some of them that are buried close to my g grandfather in a small graveyard that three of the brothers (corkrans) got together and purchased in the 1800's. Romaine 8/18/1881, Susie (18 years), Rachel 6/18/1907, Mollie b: 4/25/18?, Sally R ?, Joseph H d: 3/13/1918, Sarah A --d:19!
19, John Burton d: 4/6/1833, Ann Lamden Andrew/Corkran 11/5/1888, Mamie corkran,William T, Annie M, Lydia E, Capt Christopher C 1/27/1896, Eliza A. 4/11/ 1923 (my g-grandparents), William J. Corkran(military), another Romaine Corkran, Sydnaham, Margaret A. (his wife), and son Tamsey A. 1875. These are all related but haven't put all the pieces together yet....been working on it quite a while. Any info would be grately appreciated. I know one of my great grandfathers daughters was married to a Frazier and their son's name was William , the census stated that he was John Burtons nephew.
