Receipt. Some years ago Hance RUDOLPH made over to William HITCHMAN a
servant man named Nicholas CROWLY in exchange for HITCHMAN paying to
RUDOLPH 9,000 trunnels to be deliverd to Mr George ADAMS at Christeen
Bridge. RUDOLPH acknowledges receipt of full satisfaction from George ADAMS
on account of said William. Made 04 Apr 1751. Wit: Joh's ARRANTS, Edward
PHILLIPS. Rec: same day.

Bill of Sale. John HYLAND and William BRISTOW, both gents of Cecil Co
became bound for the administration of the estate of John KANKEY, late of
said cnty, dec'd, by his widow and administrix Ann KANKEY, who has since
md: Hance RUDOLPH of the said county. To secure the bond, Hance RUDOLPH is
willing to mortgage sundry goods and chattels. Thus, Hance RUDOLPH, for 5
shillings, to John HYLAND and William BRISTOW, 1 Negro man named BRISTOW, 1
Negro man named CUFF, another named HARRY, 1 Mulatto man name WILL, 1
Mulatto girl or young woman named JENNY and her child, 1 Mulatto woman
named NELL, 1 Negro boy named POMPEY, another named CESAR, 1 Mulatto boy
named GABRIEL, 1 Mulatto girl named SUCKEY, 1 Negro boy named BOBB, I Negro
boy named ISAAC, 1 old brown horse, 1 old white horse, 1 black mare, 1
crooked backed bay horse, 1 black mare w/a white face, 1 old black horse, 1
roan mare, 1 bay mare, 1 mare w/white mane and tail, 1 brown horse, 2 bay
mare yearling colts (sic) 1 brown horse colt, 1 bay horse cold, 1 w/ white
main and tail 2 years old, 1 colt, 1 black mare, another black mare, 14
milk cows, 1 black bull, 2 steers three years old, 3 yearling heifers, 1
red pied heifer two years old, 23 eyes and lambs, 5 weathers (sic), 2 rams,
1 copper kettle, 132 lbs weight, 1 clock, 2 desks, 1 old desk, 10 beds and
furniture, 1 old case of drawers, 1 old oval table, 1 old wagon, 2 old
carts and back bands. Void when Hance RUDOLPH and his wife Ann fully settle
the estate to whom it belongs at the next (Nov) sitting of the court. The
goods remain in the custody of Hance RUDOLPH. A viewing and description of
the goods and chattels amounting to £750.3s. was made "yesterday" by Robert
HART and Francis MAULDIN. Made & Ackn: 04 May 1753. Wit: Ja HOLLYDAY, Tho's
