Hi, I have a McMullen connection in Cecil County also, but from an earlier
time. My ancestor, James, McMullen lived there from about 1760-1780. I
believe it was near Rising Sun. They had moved to York County, Pennsylvania
by 1780. He was born in Scotland, but lived for about 10-15 years in Dublin,
Ireland before coming to America. I think I've seen reference to him as a
sheriff. Do you think there could be a connection?
