It has been known that recordation of vital records
in Baltimore City was required by law starting January
1, 1875, but unknown to a lot of people, there existed
a system for keeping such records prior to that date.
So the following records that were recorded didn't
seem to follow any set rule as to when or how a birth
was recorded.
