Barbara,
You might want to look at the spelling Coursey, DeCoursey, and De Courcy and
other variations.
I also have a webpage with some information I gathered about the DeCourcy
family. My connection is to Elizabeth DeCoursey who married Edward Veazey on
June 19, 1755. She was the mother of Governor Thomas Ward Veazey, one time
governor of Maryland. Edward Veazey's parents were Colonel John Veazey and
Rebecca Ward, both of Cecil County.

I'm not sure if this will fit into your information but who knows where
you'll find something!

Subject: [MDCECIL] COURSE Family
I'm hoping someone on this list recognizes the name COURSE. A small branch
was in Salem County, NJ before and after the American Revolution; however, I
can't find a beginning or an end. I have found a family by that name in
Cecil County:
Michael Course (b. abt 1708 in Cecil County, d. 26 Jun 1749) married Mary
England (b. abt 1712 in Cecil County) abt. 1733. They had the following
children:
Isaac Course, b. 8 Mar 1736
Elizabeth Course, b. 19 Feb 1737
Michael Course, b. 12 Apr 1740
Daniel Course, b. 9 Oct 1741
Jacob Course, b. 8 Mar 1743
Rebecca Course, b. 5 Dec 1744
Mary England was the d/o Isaac England.
Henry Course in Salem County, NJ married to Catherine Nelson abt 1773 in
Pennsneck, Salem County, NJ. He died bef. 29 Jan 1831. They had 3
children: Thomas, John, and Peter.
Henry and Catherine are my 5th great grandparents.
COURSE is not a common name and the close proximity of Cecil County, MD to
Salem County, NJ, I'm hoping my Salem County ancestors are tied into the
Cecil County family.
