John Simpers born 1736, died 1806. John's son, William, was married to Sarah Elliott.

My question involves John Simpers' relationship to a Joseph F. Holt. Joseph F. Holt (1864-1936) son of John T. and Mary Miller Holt.

In Joseph F. Holt's obit it states that he was the great-great-grandson of John Simpers (1736-1806).

How??????

Any help with this would be greatly appreciated.
