Liz and others:

I'm also interested in this family--especially the Ann Laroun. I feel it
may be Ann Laurax and a relative of Garturetta Laurax who married William
Parsons about 1732. I am trying to find Jehu PARSONS s/o William and
Garturetta Laurax Parsons. [There is a Peter Laurax who is a good
possibility for a brother of Garturetta. Peter married Christiana Van
Bibber. These families appear to be closely linked.]

Jehu appears in the birth records of St. Stephens Parish Church in Cecil
Co., Maryland, along with his brother William Parsons. Jehu or Jehue was
b. 30 Jan 1736/37 and William b. 15 Sept 1737. I have not been able to
find more about Jehu but William was placed under the guardianship of Henry
Van Bebber or Van Bibber after the death of the Parsons parents. William
was in the guardianship of Henry Van Bebber by 1752. There was a William
PARSONS mentioned in 1760 as not paying his taxes. In 1768 a "John"
Parsons owed debts but was out of the county. I'm thinking this John could
be my missing Jehu.

If anyone has information on these Parsons boys or the Van Bebber and
Laroux families, I would be most appreciative of any assistance in helping
to find what happened to them.
