Hi Liz and all,

You mentioned that you have the Eliason and DuShane families. I also have a
Thomas Ward of that same early 1700s era, living on or near the state line,
and from Staten Island. I think there were several families that may have
moved at or about the same time from Staten Island/NY to this MD/DE area
that we've been discussing. Does anyone know where to look to follow-up on
this idea? Liz, have you followed up on the Eliasons and DuShanes before
they lived "here"? This is one of those ideas that I've had but haven't
pursued yet.

Hi Judy,

Good to see you here too.

I don't have those books, so I am very appreciate of your past postings and
also your current work.

Many of your past postings have been very useful to me.

I had once thought that most of the people I am following lived near
Middletown Delaware. But now I find more and more who were very close to the
state line, or in Maryland.

I'll send you what SMITHs and REESE and etc I have, but I am still
collecting info --these might make more questions than answers. But I am
hoping if we post enough, we'll eventually crack each others problems
somehow.

If you or anyone wants more info on something here, just ask. Whatever I
have so far I will share.

I have --all of these pre-RevWar, some much earlier;

BELVILLE-CANNON-CAZIER Middletown DE area

ELIASON, DuSHANE Eliason lvd on both sides of the state line, 1700 and on;
both orig in New York (Dutch church) & Staten Island.

Van BEBBER from 1700 and PETERSON Cecil Co. and Middletown DE area from
1670's.
WOOD; Middletown, DE; 1785-1863. Interested in all WOOD --desc of the Joseph
WOOD who m. Francina HERMAN (d/o Augustine) need more research --I have
Jacob WOOD who m. Catalina PETERSON, Middletown DE in 1755.

Cornelius JOHNSON of New Castle, who d. 1684, m Elizabeth PETERSON, the
sister of Adam sr who was a Justice etc, Middletown land owner.
They had sons Johannes and Paulus (Paul) what happened to those two?

Mary KIRK married Nicholas BELVILLE, him b. bef 1730, later moved to Ohio.
Is she rel to Samuel KIRK??

VIGEROUX - Viggerou, etc, before 1700 --Most Wanted! Interesting land deals
of these folks.

WILLIAMS and WILLIAMS-NEERING. Interested in all WILLIAMS until I can prove
who they were.

LeROU, LARUE, LEROUX: Desc of the Pierre Laroux who d. c1709;
Looking for an Ann who may be desc from him --an Ann "Laroun" marr Jacob
aka James Van BEBBER (son of hendrick) b, ca 1685, lived Bohemia
River/Middletown; a Peter LeROUX marr Christina Van BEBBER (dau of Isaac
Jacobss. van Bebber) b. 1698 - North Sasafrass / St. Stephen's Parish.

VRYMAN way early: Pierre LeROUX marr Alida VRYMAN in NY Dutch Church in
1692, 3 children (see above); she married again in Westchester NY BUT there
was a Hendrick VRYMAN who signed the 1657 agreement at Ft.
Casimir (New Castle), fixing prices for the trading of pelts. Need marr and
children for him.

REESE and THONY -Toney - maybe "DONEY" --Isaac DONEY in 1781 deeds,
Middletown DE area --is he related to John Daniel THONY whose wife ws
Elizabeth REESE? His dau married one of my DuSHANEs.

There are probably more, but that's much of my shopping list. If anything
looks interesting, please ask. Willing to work on any of these.

Thanks again,
Liz J
