More on these mystery WOODS and connections back:

These are rather pertinent to Cecil County as well as to New Castle
County. I have been checking maps and learnd that the MD/DE stale line
between Cecil County and New Castle County once passed very close to
Townsend DE, also quite close to Middletown DE. I guess people must
have gone to bed one night in Maryland and without even setting their
feet on the ground, woken up the next morning in Delaware.

Or maybe it happened in the daytime.

But seriously. More on these mystery WOODS:

Jacob WOOD, married sometime soon after 1755, to Catalina PETERSON (b
ca 1731) d/o Andrew PETERSON and Hester...

Catalina's older half-sister Rachel PETERSON (b ca 1715 --d/o Andrew
PETERSON and Lydia Wiliams-Neering) married one of the DuSHANEs,
probably Anthony. Their daughter Lydia DuSHANE married Andrew ELIASON,
most likely a grandson of the Cornelius ELIASON who was the progenitor
of the Cecil County ELIASONs, and whose daughter Rebecca married John
WOOD. I need to make the connection between this Andrew ELIASON --Red
Lion Hundred, New Castle County, DE --back to Cornelius ELIASON senior
of Cecil County.

Thanks again,
Liz J
