Hi, I'm looking for information on the family of John Jones, born about
1712?, may have lived in Chester Co Pa before moving to Cecil Co Md. My
infommation is from "Ancestors of Anthony William Jones." John died Nov
1749 in Maryland,probably Cecil Co. His wife was named Mary, and his
occupation was that he was a cooper (barrel maker). Children were Mary,
Elizabeth, Robert, and Catherine. Catherine married 1) William Rogers and 2)
Thomas Churchman.

Robert born about 1730? married Elizabeth ukn, and their children were Mary,
Priscilla, Thomas, Samuel, Robert, and John. Mary married James Crouch,
Priscilla married Jonas Chambers, Samuel married Elizabeth Justice, Robert
married Mary Smith, and John also married a Mary Smith, then Patty Taylor.

My connection is with Priscilla, wife of Jonas Chambers. I think that Jonas
and Priscilla were the parents of my 3great-grandmother Rachel Chambers.

The source also identified Catherine as a Quaker, so I am presuming that
this was a Quaker family.The name may have originally been John/Johns.
