The line "went west with the Maryland League" caught my attention.
My Charles Co. ancestors (including, probably, a McAtee who had married a
Wedding) migrated to Clermont Co., Ohio (north of Ohio R near Cincinatti).
I've read that Congress had offered war veterans land grants there and
assumed that is why the Wedding family went there.
I had no idea there might have been organized migration. Does anyone know
of anything like "the Maryland League" that organized westward migration
along the north side of Ohio River?
Thanks,
