I am new to this list and would like to know if someone could check to see if
there was a court case in Charles Co MD in 1794-1795 between William Milstead
and Joseph Bruce. I would be content with sufficient reference with which to
order a copy from the courthouse. This case would deal with slaves which
William Milstead (who married Charity Covert, widow of Robert Covert) that
supposedly belonged to Charity Covert as part of her settlement of Robert
Covert's estate which were in the possession of Joseph Bruce of King George
Co VA.
