Hi Dick,

The first question I would ask, is how solid is your source, and what is that source that Francis MAULDIN's wife Bridgett was a BELAINE?

If Bridgett was born ca. 1685, then Nicholas BELAINE and wife Mary would be the candidates for being her parents. Mary was age 60 in a 1725 deposition, placing her birth ca. 1665.

Nicholas and Mary had children's births recorded of:
Jemima BELAINE 15 Mar. 1686 (1686/7?)
Elizabeth BELAINE 25 Feb. 1688 (1688/9?)
Mary had her first child by her second husband Benjamin POSEY recorded as born 1 June 1691, so Nicholas and Mary could have had an elder daughter whose birth wasn't recorded. It all depends on how solid your source is that Bridgett was a BELAINE.
