Hello, Fellow Hunters!
I recently requested my grandfather's and my great-grandfather's death
certificates from Charles Co., Md., as that was both of their residences at
the time of their deaths, app. 6 months apart in 1946. I received my
grandfather's but there was no record of my great-grandfather's death there.
I called the Maryland State Archives and they suggested I get in touch with
DC as he might have gone to a hospital there, which I have done. Now my
mother has found a paper (from the Probate Court or Proceedings - not sure)
that mentions that my great-grandfather had been in Providence Hospital. Can
anyone please tell me where that might have been, as I know nothing about Md.
I would appreciate anything you might tip me off to. Their names were William
Dallas SMITH (great-grandfather) and James Dallas SMITH (grandfather), both
born in Pa., app. 1881 and app. 1904, respectively.
